Revised NAFSMA Position Statements Available
All three NAFSMA Position Statements have been
updated in 2002. Based on discussions at the Stormwater Committee Meeting
during the Annual Meeting in Charlotte, the Stormwater Management Position
Statement was updated to more clearly address Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL)

NAFSMA's
Floodplain Management Position Paper was updated in January 2002. A clear
priority for the association in this area is adequate funding for FEMA's
Mapping Modernization Program. A total of $300 milliion has been requested
in the president's Fiscal Year 2003 budget for this initiative. To view

The
NAFSMA Flood Management Position Paper was updated in May 2002 to accurately
reflect discussions by the Board in preparation for the association's
testimony on the administration's budget proposal for the U.S. Army Corps
