EPA and Army Postpone Public Hearing on Proposed New “Waters of the United States” Definition   WASHINGTON (January 7, 2019) — Due to the lapse in appropriations for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), EPA and the Department of the Army (Army) announced today they will postpone the planned January 23 public hearing on the proposed new “Waters of the United States” definition until after appropriations have passed to fund the EPA. Publication of the proposed rule in the Federal Register is also postponed.  
Congress Approves Water Infrastructure Bill – The Senate by a vote of 99-1 voted on October 10 to send S. 3021 – America’s Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) to the President for signature.

House May Vote On Water Infrastructure Bill/WRDA 2018 Compromise This Week A House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and Senate Environment and Public Works Committee compromise Water Infrastructure bill (S. 3021), which includes the Water Resources Development Act of 2018, may be voted on in House this week under a fast track process.
