FEMA Releases Community Rating System Discount Guide
July 2023-Under Risk Rating 2.0, the National Flood Insurance Program’s (NFIP) pricing approach, the Community Rating System (CRS) discount is applied to the full-risk premium for all NFIP policies in the Regular Program in a participating community, including policies outside of the Special Flood Hazard Area.

FEMA Announces Alternative Cost Effectiveness Methodology for BRIC Grants
10/7/2022-FEMA announced an increase in program accessibility for communities for the fiscal year 2022 Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) and Flood Mitigation Assistance grant program application cycle.
This increased support will benefit underserved communities with challenges meeting the Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA) requirement when accessing funding through Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grant programs. More information at:
